Fernanda was born and raised in Brazil and has been an active part of the dental industry for over 8 years. Fernanda graduated as a dentist in Brazil and has recently started working as a dental assistant since she moved to Australia, in 2019. 

Fernanda can speak both English and Portuguese. 

Fernanda is compassionate and dedicated to ensure a positive dental experience for all our patients. 

Dental care is important for everyone and Fernanda gives her all to make sure all of our patients feel comfortable and at ease.

Her interests are in health and wellness and she enjoy visiting the beach, riding bikes, traveling and most of all, spending time with her family. 


Hope Island Dental Assistant

Shazia was born in India and raised in the middle east. She then moved to India to do her bachelor of dental surgery and worked in private clinics for 4 years. She relocated to Australia in 2015 and only recently moved to the gold coast.

Shazia currently completed her certificate III in dental assisting and is also studying to obtain her dental license here in Australia.

Shazia loves working in the dental industry and helping patients have a positive experience. When she isn’t working, she can be found spending time with her daughter and exploring the beautiful places if the Gold Coast.

Tia was born and raised in Greater London, England.

She completed and obtained her certificate III in Dental Assisting January this year and came on board with us late February.

Tia loves working in the dental industry and helping patients have an enjoyable experience with their treatments.

In her free time, Tia enjoys going to the gym, being active, and spending time with friends and family.

Jayana was born and raised on the Gold Coast.

She completed her Cert III in Dental Assisting in January 2017 and has been in the dental industry for over 4 years.

Jayana loves seeing the happy smiles of our patients after their treatment has been completed, and the confidence they gain from having their smile restored.

In her spare time Jayana enjoys going to the beach and exploring the city with her friends and family.

Madison was originally from Brisbane but relocated to the Gold Coast and fell in love with the relaxed atmosphere and sunshine!

Madison Is currently completing her Cert III in Dental Assisting and has many years of experience in Reception and PA roles.

She enjoys welcoming patients and seeing their smiles transform.

In her spare time, she enjoys competitive body building and spending time with her family.

Kerry Lee brings many years experience as dental receptionist and dental nurse and loves being in the dental industry. She loves nothing more than to help an anxious patient just make that initial appointment and reassure them . 

Kerry has a certificate in Phlebotomy, and has travelled Australia as a flight attendant. 

She is also a long time volunteer at Qld Ultrasound in her spare time, along with walking the beach. Also Loves trying the new cafes on the Goldy. 

A resident of the Gold Coast for over 20 years, she frequently visits Sydney , where she grew up. 



Dr Alisha Virmani

Hope Island Dentist BSc, BDS (QLD)

Originally from eastern Canada, Dr. Alisha Virmani moved to Queensland in 2016 to escape the cold climate. After completing a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Life Sciences from Queen’s University (Ontario, Canada), Dr. Alisha graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University (Queensland, Australia).
Dr. Alisha has had experience working all over Queensland, including working in private clinics in Cairns, Townsville, Gold Coast and working in Mackay’s public hospital. She is an Invisalign Go Provider and loves working with patients of all ages.
Like a true Canadian- Dr. Alisha is always very polite and provides a friendly, positive experience to all her patients. With 8 years of post-secondary education in healthcare, Dr. Alisha enjoys sharing her knowledge with others to promote oral health and prevent dental decay.

When Dr. Alisha isn’t in the clinic, you can find her Facetiming her fluffy German Shepherd in Canada or blogging about oral health and mental wellbeing on her popular Instagram (@dentistrywithali). Dr. Alisha also enjoys travelling, spending time on the water, and playing with puppies that aren’t hers.
